We are launching this site today not because it's ready, but because today was the day our web developer decided to move this site from its testing location to its permanent location. Most areas are not ready yet, but we hope that more content will be on its way shortly. There isn't much here right now, but we are fairly confident that we can build it into something that will be of interest to distance running fans. If we had a mission statement, it would be something like: EliteRunning.com aims to promote elite and aspiring elite distance runners, and to inspire all runners.
Because this is a very part-time venture for us, we would appreciate any help from anyone who is interested in providing it. If you are willing to conduct interviews, write athlete features, take high-quality (that generally means non-blurry) photos, or have any other ideas, please get in touch! We really need a logo, so if there are any designers out there who are willing to help, please let us know!
P.S. Another way you can support this site is by clicking on our Google ads. I know they can be annoying, but we get a tiny bit of money every time you click. (They apparently have good fraud-detection mechanisms, though, so don't click too much!) I've actually learned about some interesting things from the ads already, like the trip to Nepal targeted at runners and the Urban Dare Adventure races!

I was wondering why the other URL I had been using wasn't working. And whoo-hoo, Hillside Relays pics!

Hi Alison, I'll be clicking away at the Google Ads. I am excited to view this new site. There is a lot of information for me to look at, thanks, and I will be sure to pass the site along. Great job!
