Macharia Yuot wins the 2006 NCAA Division III Cross Country title at Voice of America Park in West Chester, Ohio.

Macharia Yuot wins NCAA DIII Cross Country title, runs Philadelphia Marathon the next day

In the wow department, it appears that Macharia Yuot won the NCAA Division III Cross Country title on Saturday, November 18, and ran the Philadelphia Marathon in 2:25:39 (sixth place) the following day, before many of his competitors in the NCAA race had even returned home.

Yuot made his cross country victory look easy despite an extremely muddy course at Voice of America Park in West Chester, Ohio on Saturday. The win gave him his sixth NCAA DIII national title while at Widener University, with his other five titles coming on the track. Saturday's race marked the end of Yuot's NCAA eligibility.

The 24-year-old is one of the "Lost Boys" of Sudan. As a nine-year-old boy, he walked nearly 1,000 miles to escape civil war in his native country.
