Lornah Kiplagat, Zersenay Tadesse win World Cross Country titles

Holland's Lornah Kiplagat, a native of Kenya, and Eritrea's Zersenay Tadesse ran away from their respective fields at today's World Cross Country Championships in Mombasa, Kenya. Defending champion Tirunesh Dibaba finished second over the 8k course in the women's race, outkicking teammates Meselech Melkamu and Gelete Burka for the silver. Moses Mosop of Kenya finished second in the men's 12k race after Kenenisa Bekele stepped off the course, clearly beaten, during the last lap.

Asbel Kiprop and Linet Chepkwemoi Barasa won the junior men's and junior women's races, respectively.

We'll be providing links to the coverage of the race as it becomes available.
