We have finished posting all of our Boston Marathon photos. We've also added photos of the Phillips/McCain High School Invitational, a meet which took place Saturday at Campolindo High School in Orinda, California. Results of the latter can be found here.

We have now posted some of our Boston Marathon photos. There will be many more to come soon.
(4/18 update: I've added more photos to the above gallery, and in an effort to make my own photos look bad, I've also added Peter Rufo's photos of the race. There are still many more photos to come, which we will post as soon as we can without neglecting our other responsibilities.)
Results from the race can be found here.

We're in downtown Boston, watching runners get transported off to the start of the marathon in Hopkinton. If the current weather keeps up, the wind, not the rain or cold, is going to be the major challenge for the runners (and photographers!) today.
If you can't be here, you can watch the race live on Versus (formerly the Oudoor Life Network) from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. ET, with an "encore show" from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. ET today. Locally, the race is being aired live on WBZ from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Assuming all goes well, we will be posting photos after the race.

Shalane Flanagan ran 14:44.80 and established a new American 5,000 meter record at the Mt. SAC Relays Friday, April 13 in Walnut, California. The old record of 14:45.35 was set by Regina Jacobs in 2000, who later tested positive for a banned substance and received a four-year ban from the sport.
Flanagan was rabbited through approximately 1,850 meters by her former University of North Carolina teammate, and current Nike teammate, Erin Donohue. Flanagan recorded unofficial kilometer splits of 2:55, 2:57, 2:58.8 (8:51.6 at 3,000), 3:00.7, and 2:52.5. Jen Rhines finished second in a solid early season time of 15:10.80.
A video of the race and a post-race interview with Flanagan can be found here.
