Former Virginia Intermont College track coach Scott Simmons thanks all those who have donated to help the Cobras fly to NAIA Track Nationals in Fresno, California. He reports that as of Saturday tickets were purchased for the entire team of 18 qualified athletes and two assistant coaches.
The track team must still raise around $3,500, however, to cover local van rentals and to meet NAIA housing requirements while at the meet.
“If people were hesitant to give before because they were concerned that the goal might be too steep,” said Simmons, “we’ve accomplished the hardest task and now is the time that they can help us over this final hurdle and make this a reality.”
Donations can still be made online at www.snakesonaplanetonationals.com.

Maybe post the results links at the top of the respective photo gallery, since the links end up rotating off the front page?
